    Brass hardware

    Solid brass snaps and grommets, machined in Pennsylvania. No plated steel, no plastic, no "antique brass" paint over zinc. Won't rust shut after the first wet winter on the deck.

    9 stitches per inch on a Union Special 35-class sewing machine, double-needle felled seams on every stress line. Same machine that built U.S. Navy deck uniforms for two decades.

Why we cut canvas the same way we forge steel.

The workwear line wasn't a growth strategy. It started because the same tradesmen buying our 12-inch adjustable wrench kept asking when we'd make a chore coat that didn't fall apart at the cuff by Christmas. So we hired four master cutters out of work in Pittsburgh, set up 38 industrial sewing machines next to the forge floor, and started cutting 12-oz duck canvas the same way we forge 5160 chromoly — slowly, on American-made machines, by people whose name is on the work order.
